Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions most traders ask about Strategy Studio, broker execution, risk controls, screeners, backtesting, and automated trading.
What is InvySmart Strategy Studio?
Strategy Studio is a confidence-weighted trading platform that turns market ideas into disciplined trades. It generates signals from technical, fundamental, and AI layers, blends them into a single confidence score, then lets you deploy across three execution styles to any connected broker.
How is my signal confidence calculated?
Each signal blends technical indicators (moving average cross, RSI, MACD), fundamentals, AI scoring, and scanner filters into one confidence percentage. We recommend acting above 70% and watching names below 50% until conviction builds.
Can I let trades run automatically?
Yes. Enable auto-trade and qualifying signals execute hands-free across your connected brokers. You keep a master switch that you can flip off at any time; doing so diverts every new signal to your manual approval queue instead.
What execution styles are available?
Strategy Studio offers three execution modes: fully auto-trade (hands-free), on-demand trade (you click to execute), and scheduled windows (batch-execute during your preferred market hours). All three run through the same confidence engine and risk checks.
Which brokers can I execute through?
One click routes orders to every broker you connect — including Alpaca, Interactive Brokers, TD Ameritrade, and more — through SnapTrade, a third-party broker-aggregation API. You see real-time order state and an activity log.
Does InvySmart execute trades?
No. InvySmart is an analytical software platform, not a broker-dealer. Order execution and clearing are handled by your broker-dealer through SnapTrade. InvySmart never holds your credentials, positions, or funds.
How does SnapTrade integration work?
When you connect a brokerage account, SnapTrade facilitates the secure transmission of your orders to your broker. Your broker login credentials are collected, stored, and tokenized by SnapTrade — InvySmart never sees or stores your broker passwords.
Can I connect multiple brokers?
Yes. Connect multiple brokerage accounts and route orders to any of them with one click. Each broker is managed through its own SnapTrade integration, and you can set per-broker rules.
What protects me from large losses?
Every trade runs through a risk envelope: hard stop loss, trailing stop, max slippage, velocity limits, and a drawdown circuit. A multi-level emergency stop (kill switch) is reachable from the sidebar, top bar, and safeguards panel to close positions and cancel orders instantly.
What is reward-to-risk targeting?
Every signal ships with a stop loss, take profit, and trailing stop sized from volatility, with a clear reward-to-risk ratio displayed before you deploy. You set your preferred R-R ratio per strategy.
Is automated trading safe?
Automated trading carries inherent risks including system failures, network latency, broker API errors, and strategy bugs. We recommend testing in paper-trade or manual-approval mode before enabling robo execution, monitoring active bots at all times, and configuring kill switches and risk controls.
What happens if I walk away from my keyboard?
The platform enforces pre-trade risk checks (max order size, daily velocity limits, position caps). If a trade exceeds your configured thresholds, it is automatically diverted to your approval queue regardless of execution mode.
How do I get signals into InvySmart?
You can build strategies visually with the Flow Editor, write code in QuantCode IDE, paste TradingView or TrendSpider alert webhooks, or use the ready-made scanner presets. Each path feeds the same confidence engine and tri-mode execution pipeline.
Can I use TradingView alerts?
Yes. Connect TradingView webhooks to InvySmart and your alerts become confidence-weighted signals. You can map TradingView alert fields to order parameters, apply risk checks, and route to any connected broker.
Do I need to code a strategy?
No. Build with a visual flow builder, pick from ready-made scanner presets, or paste code. Each path feeds the same confidence engine and tri-mode execution pipeline.
What is the Flow Editor?
The Flow Editor is a no-code visual builder where you design, backtest, and deploy trading strategies. Drag and drop signal blocks, conditions, and execution nodes onto a canvas, then test before going live.
What languages does QuantCode IDE support?
QuantCode IDE supports Python (with pandas, numpy, TA-Lib) for strategy development. Code locally with full debugging, then deploy to auto-trade, on-demand, or scheduled windows.
How does the stock screener work?
Screen stocks by technical, fundamental, and AI-driven criteria. Apply filters across price, volume, sector, market cap, valuation multiples, and custom formulas. Results update in real time and can be sent to watchlists or directly to execution.
Is there a crypto screener?
Yes. The screener covers both stocks and crypto. Filter by technical indicators, on-chain metrics, price action, and volatility across hundreds of digital assets.
Can I backtest strategies?
Yes, in the Backtesting Lab. Test any strategy — visual flow, QuantCode script, or scanner preset — against historical data with per-bar confidence scoring, walk-forward analysis, and detailed performance reports.
What is the live quotes feature?
Live Quotes delivers real-time pricing, bid/ask spreads, and volume updates across stocks, options, forex, and crypto. Data is cached for 5-minute intervals and integrates with the execution pipeline.
What does the economic calendar cover?
The calendar tracks corporate earnings, dividend payout dates, economic releases (CPI, FOMC, jobs data), and market-moving central-bank events across global markets.
How does portfolio management work?
Portfolio tools let you size trades with three allocation models: dynamic margin (scales with buying power), fixed cash per trade, and scanner-proportional (spreads capital across scan matches). Live order state and fill tracking sync across all connected brokers.
Can I track my portfolio performance?
Yes. The portfolio dashboard shows positions, mark-to-market P&L, allocation by sector and asset class, and historical performance. Data is pulled from your connected brokers via SnapTrade.
Is there a personal finance tool?
Yes — Wealth Excel provides budgeting, expense tracking, net worth calculation, and retirement planning tools alongside your trading data, all in one dashboard.
How does the audit trail work?
Every signal, approval, execution, and risk event is timestamped and auditable. The audit trail provides full transparency and compliance reporting, with export options for your records.
Is there an AI trading agent?
Yes. The AI Chat agent provides conversational research, strategy suggestions, code generation, and trade ideas. Powered by a specialized LLM trained on market data and trading logic, with memory across conversations.
What is the Command Pad?
The Command Pad is a discretionary trading interface with an AI-powered trading assistant. It provides natural language commands, smart order routing previews, and real-time risk checks before execution.
Can the AI generate trading strategies?
Yes. Ask the AI agent to build a strategy in Python or the Flow Editor, generate code snippets, suggest risk parameters, or explain market concepts. All AI-generated content is reviewed by you before execution.
What is the free tier?
Sign up for free to access public scanning, live quotes, AI stock summaries, and the strategy builder. No account required for core research. Upgrade to unlock auto-trading, multi-broker execution, and advanced features.
How do I upgrade or downgrade?
You can change your plan anytime in the Billing section of your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the start of your next billing cycle.
Can I get a refund?
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period starts. If you were charged incorrectly, contact support with your account email, charge date, plan name, and relevant screenshots.
